We propose an extension in the form of an entrance atrium, a new text written on what is already written, with a heavy and light materiality at the same time, which refers to the passage of time of the aging walls of the fortifications, through the construction of a simple and compact building. A new piece in the landscape, a construction aware that maximum flexibility and adaptability is only possible within a rigorous order, which takes as its character the materiality of the fortifications.
The building is conceived as a compact volume on its three exterior faces and with stepped volumetry on its interior face towards the existing building, creating a new access and welcome space. A welcoming space, limited and at the scale of the user.
