This was a place that had already been inhabited and what was left of it was beautiful. Even more beautiful than before it was abandoned. Abandonment and the loss of its meaning and function turned the architecture into a landscape perfectly embedded in its surroundings.

The place is inhabited by occupying the ruin and extending a series of intimate and intertwined spaces and gardens.

Barbara and Laura longed to build a home where they could live and work. A winter garden where to restore rescued furniture, a library where to paint, a space where to relocate a kitchen that has accompanied them for a long time, a studio where to work, a place to sleep and love each other, a garden where to grow their plants, a place to store a collection of objects they have inherited, .... Spaces and gardens that are gathered under an inverted vaulted roof that compresses its centre and expands the rooms in its perimeter.
