Agricultural Cooperative Refurbishment as a Cultural Center

The new Cultural Center is located in a historic setting that is part of the agricultural cooperative complex of Flix. The new space contributes to the recovery and enhancement of the historical and social characteristics and elements of the building.

The basic interventions to allow the use of the new center are: foundations and ground stability, structural consolidation and comfort of the interior spaces.

The original character of this heritage building is deeply related to its typology: a typology based on the emptiness of the nave and the connection of the bays in the complex.

The interior of the building preserves its typological structure and is fitted out to guarantee maximum comfort. A ceramic finish and ceramic battens are proposed to improve the acoustic performance of the enclosure and to unify and enhance the empty space.
